Independence

Independent specialist lawyers and consultants

We are 100% independent and will only accept engagements where we are completely conflict-free. Independence is one of the eight guarantees we offer to all clients.

Conflicts of interest can occur during serious commercial disputes and insolvency crises. That’s why our clients value our independence – because, unlike many big law firms, we can provide robust, transparent and independent representation without any qualification.

We can guarantee our clients that we have not acted for any competing stakeholders in the past or will in the future.

What is independence?

Independence means not having conflicts of interest. A lawyer’s ultimate responsibility is to protect their clients’ rights. Lawyers must never be compromised by previous dealings with stakeholders, concern for industry reputation, a desire to win future work or concern for maintaining cordial relations with dominant industry players.

Why is independence important?

Clients value our independence because it means they can trust our judgement. People who don’t engage an independent lawyer can never be certain that their lawyer is fully committed to their case and free of conflicts of interest.

What is our purpose?

We are a flexible law and consulting firm that vigorously fights for our clients’ rights.
