• What do directors do during a receivership?

The directors retain office during a receivership (unlike in voluntary administrations and liquidations). However, the directors will to surrender some of their power – and the company’s assets – to the receiver.

The directors must give the receiver a report about the company’s affairs. They must also give the receiver access to books and records relating to the company’s charged assets (or collateral).
