What is the Fair Entitlements Guarantee?

The Fair Entitlements Guarantee (FEG) is a federal government scheme that provides financial help to eligible workers who lose their job because their company has gone into liquidation. Eligible workers may receive:

  • Up to 13 weeks of unpaid wages
  • Unpaid annual leave
  • Unpaid long service leave
  • Up to five weeks of payment in lieu of notice
  • Redundancy pay (equivalent to four weeks per full year of service)

The Fair Entitlements Guarantee does not cover unpaid employer superannuation contributions.
