The Fair Entitlements Guarantee is a federal government scheme that provides financial help to eligible workers who lose their job because their company has gone into liquidation. Eligible workers may receive:
- Up to 13 weeks of unpaid wages
- Unpaid annual leave
- Unpaid long service leave
- Up to five weeks of payment in lieu of notice
- Redundancy pay (equivalent to four weeks per full year of service)
The Fair Entitlements Guarantee does not cover unpaid employer superannuation contributions.
